Summary
I started here. Eight years serving a wide portfolio — shopping malls, cinema chains, retail, events and national brands — at the end of the Flash era and the entry of HTML/CSS/jQuery. Every piece came out of me from visual concept to delivery. I learned that delivering beautifully is half the work — the other half is delivering on time. Code is the means, the finished piece is the end.
What I did
- Pieces and campaigns for big clients — shopping malls, cinema chains, retail and national brands
- Campaign hotsites in HTML/CSS/jQuery — from static layout to deploy
- Promotional animations in Flash (the technology of the time)
- Material for internal digital media (screens, kiosks) and external (web, social)
- Designer and dev on the same day — Photoshop in the morning, code in the afternoon
- Brutal retail calendar (Black Friday, Christmas, Mother's Day) delivered without missing deadlines
Tech / Stack
HTML · CSS · jQuery · Flash (ActionScript) · Photoshop · Illustrator
Takeaways
Agency work teaches you that code is the means, not the end. What matters is the finished piece at the appointed time. I took that into the rest of my career.
Context
First professional home. I left because the market changed and I wanted to change with it — from motion to product.
